Research Storage: EMC
EMC2 VNXe Storage Array: Provides fully redundant and highly scalable storage. Leveraging rack space from the University Information Technology Services (UITS), InCHIP has moved its Backup and DR equipment off-site. Research volumes are protected with hourly backups, SAN snapshots every 4 hours and System Shadow Copies every 12 hours. With a couple hundred terabytes of available storage, we meet most storage needs for grants and research projects.

Dell EqualLogic PS Series Arrays: Provides fully redundant and highly scalable storage. Storage Access Options
Network File Storage (NFS): a distributed file system protocol allowing a user on a client computer to access files over a network much like local storage is accessed
Enterprise File Services: provides a “share” on a file server that can be used to store and share files among multiple computers and users
