This service is available to junior investigators seeking pilot or planning funds for studies moving research along the translational spectrum, as well as senior investigators new to translational research. An Investigator Advocate will meet with the researcher to discuss the project, explain the presentation process, and make recommendations or referrals.  The Advocate will convene a team of content experts tailored to the specific project. The group will discuss the project and provide guidance on the development of a comprehensive plan and timeline leading to a CICATS pilot/planning grant or an appropriate fund-able research proposal. The Investigator Advocate will work with each investigator to refine and implement the plan, help the investigator track milestones and refer the investigator to appropriate resources.
