Services & Rates
Glassblowing services are carried out from the Yale University Glass Shop. The drop-off location for all scientific glassware repairs will be on the large metal shelf across from the machine shop (room R006) in the Chemistry building.
On request, assistance can be provided for prototype development. Custom and specialized equipment can be manufactured.
Repairs can be made to complex scientific and mechanical equipment, including diffusion pumps, McLeod Gauges, Nitrogen Cryogenic Dewars, vacuum systems, and distillation equipment.
Standard Glass Technology Products
Includes chromatography columns, flash evaporators, cryogenic traps, boiling flasks.
Skilled technicians design, fabricate, or repair complex scientific and mechanical instruments and carry out jobs in precision machining, brazing, soldering, welding, woodworking, sheet metal working, Plexiglass fabrication and vacuum pump reconstruction.
